Design the systems powering the future of energy and low‑carbon infrastructure. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team, delivering innovative solutions across complex, live operational environments. This is a hands‑on design role where you’ll take ownership of electrical systems from concept through to delivery, supporting major energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end‑to‑end electrical design for LV/HV distribution systems and energy infrastructure
- Designing and integrating systems including transformers, CHP, solar PV, heat pumps and standby generation
- Producing outline and detailed designs, specifications and technical documentation
- Ensuring safe, buildable solutions for live operational sites with minimal disruption
- Liaising with DNOs on grid connections and compliance with ENA standards
- Collaborating with mechanical, controls, audit and construction teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
- Supporting site surveys, client meetings and technical problem‑solving across projects
- Keeping up to date with relevant standards including BS 7671, CIBSE and Building Regulations
What we’re looking for:
- BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering
- 3–5+ years’ experience in electrical design within energy, infrastructure or live building environments
- Strong experience with LV/HV systems and distributed energy technologies (CHP, PV, heat pumps, generators)
- Knowledge of ENA Engineering Recommendations (G99, G100, P28, P29, G5)
- Experience working to CIBSE, HTMs, HBNs and UK Building Regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
