We are looking for a Part‑Time Activity Practitioner to join our Lifestyle activity team based in Clayton‑Le‑Woods. We are offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.91 to £15.88 per hour, depending on qualifications. You will be required to work 15 hours a week and travel between our services in Clayton Le Woods, Chorley, Leyland, and activity centres as part of your duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and run activity sessions, both large and small, including sensory drama, music, art/craft, gardening, hydro, and sensory story.
  • Monitor activities and ensure appropriate records are completed, including writing detailed reviews.
  • Support and train staff during activity sessions.
  • Organise and maintain activity equipment.
  • Attend signing group and other communication meetings where required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and ability to understand the needs of people with severe learning disabilities, including communication needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of person‑centred approach to care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of autism.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Good literacy and organisational skills with a flexible and creative approach.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferable.
  • Full driver’s licence is essential.
  • DBS check required.
