Dales Marine Services is a well-established and successful local and national provider of Ship Repair, Fabrication, and Engineering services for the offshore oil industry. Due to continued growth, expansion, and long-term contracts, we are looking to expand our skilled team.

The HSEQ Assistant Co-ordinator supports the HSEQ team with administrative and compliance tasks related to the daily operations of the HSEQ department across all sites. Reporting directly to the site HSEQ Advisor and QA Coordinator, they will provide support to the HSEQ team, perform office administration duties, and assist with workshop and quayside activities as requested. The role involves helping implement quality systems by adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards, and working safely to ensure the wellbeing of all personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with contractor inductions
  • Conducting morning PTW checks and advising on completion
  • Supporting simultaneous operations identification
  • Filing daily completed PTWs
  • Issuing HAV watches daily
  • Preparing machinery packs with risk assessments, pre-use checks, issue reporting forms, and maintenance schedules
  • Supporting safety culture site inspections
  • Assisting with online training
  • Conducting monthly fire extinguisher checks
  • Weekly first aid, fire alarm, and metal working fluid checks
  • Monthly T card, machinery, and emergency lighting checks
  • Assisting with internal and external audit documentation
  • Performing additional tasks as required to support the HSEQ Advisor and QA Coordinator
  • Promoting a safe working culture and adherence to the 'stop the job' policy
  • Contributing to the company's zero-accident and zero waste objectives
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards
