Dales Marine Services are a well-established and successful local and national Ship Repair, Fabrication and Engineering service provider for the off and on shore oil industry. Due to continued growth, expansion, and long-term contracts we are looking to add to our skilled team of employees.
The HSEQ Assistant Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the HSEQ team with the administration and compliance tasks associated with the day to day running of the HSEQ department across all sites. They will report directly to the site HSEQ Advisor and QA Coordinator. They will provide support to the HSEQ Team, carry out office administration duties and assist in workshop and quayside activities as requested by the HSEQ Advisor or QA Coordinator. They will assist in the implementation of the quality systems by following the Company Policies and Procedures and help to implement and maintain health, safety and environmental standards, working safely at all times to ensure the health and wellbeing of themselves and company workers.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with contractor inductions.
- Morning checks of PTWs to ensure they are correctly completed and to offer advice for those unsure how they should be completed.
- Assisting with simultaneous operations identification.
- Filing of daily completed PTWs.
- Issuing of HAV watches to employees on a daily basis.
- Setting up machinery packs with risk assessments, pre-use checks, issue reporting forms, and maintenance schedule.
- Assisting with safety culture site inspections.
- Assisting with on-line training.
- Monthly fire extinguisher checks.
- Weekly first aid checks.
- Weekly fire alarm checks.
- Weekly metal working fluid checks.
- Monthly T card checks.
- Monthly machinery checks.
- Monthly emergency lighting checks.
- Assist with internal and external audit paperwork.
- Additional tasks as required to assist with the HSEQ Advisor.
- Additional tasks as required to assist with the QA Coordinator.
- Following and promoting a safe working culture and the company 'stop the job policy' to ensure they and all fellow workers are aware of the companies safe working practices.
- To help achieve the zero-accident rate objective by following, promoting and implementing company safe working practices.
- To help achieve the zero waste to landfill objective by following, promoting and implementing company environmental policies.
- Assisting in the implementation and upkeep of all company ISO standards.
