Responsibilities
- Assume the responsibility of Officer in Charge as directed by Senior Management
- Help train junior members of the team in all aspects of their work
- Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents
- Attend staff meetings and training as directed by Senior Management
- Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and toilet
- Support with medication administration (under supervision of competent staff)
- Make and change beds; tidy rooms and do light cleaning
- Inspect, launder and mend residents' clothing
- Cook meals, serve meals; assist residents at meal times if required; wash up utensils
- Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet visitors
- Take part in staff meetings and also in training activities as directed
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care notes
- Perform other reasonable duties as may be required
Due to the nature of the work, this post is deemed to require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This will be paid for by the Company.
Training and Development
For those wishing to pursue a career in Care we will support you with further training which will include all mandatory training, plus extra such as QCF level training to support personal development.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold at least a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and have previous experience in a Senior role. Applicants must be dependable, motivated, and trustworthy. This role is key in supporting the management team to maintain high standards of care and ensure residents' needs, choices, and wellbeing are consistently met.
