We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Home Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home. This is a key leadership role where you will be accountable for delivering high-quality care, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible to the Registered Provider for the day-to-day running of the home.
- To be accountable for the home's operations and activities.
- To ensure the home operates according to its registration status and conditions and complies with all legal requirements.
- To manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for its service users.
- To keep service users safe and well protected at all times.
- To develop, promote, and maintain high standards of care and best practice.
- To act as an ambassador for the home, promoting and marketing its services to the wider community.
- To ensure the home remains financially viable and sustainably managed.
- To ensure that all staff are informed about and work to the Codes of Practice for social care and (where applicable) nursing professionals.
- Providing assistance with the Management of the day-to-day running of the home.
- To participate in regular Meetings in accordance with RISCA Regulations.
- Ensuring high standards of care are being delivered safely in line with legislation.
- Working with the Deputy Manager to develop an ethos that reflects residents' individual needs.
- Ensure all staff are working in accordance with the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales.
- Participate in weekly Duty Manager Meetings to communicate the needs and movements of residents and staff in the home.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong IT and clerical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake all required in-house training.
- Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification required for registration).
- NMC Registered Nurse with active PIN.
