We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Home Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home. This is a key leadership role where you will be accountable for delivering high-quality care, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible to the Registered Provider for the day-to-day running of the home.
  • To be accountable for the home's operations and activities.
  • To ensure the home operates according to its registration status and conditions and complies with all legal requirements.
  • To manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for its service users.
  • To keep service users safe and well protected at all times.
  • To develop, promote, and maintain high standards of care and best practice.
  • To act as an ambassador for the home, promoting and marketing its services to the wider community.
  • To ensure the home remains financially viable and sustainably managed.
  • To ensure that all staff are informed about and work to the Codes of Practice for social care and (where applicable) nursing professionals.
  • Providing assistance with the Management of the day-to-day running of the home.
  • To participate in regular Meetings in accordance with RISCA Regulations.
  • Ensuring high standards of care are being delivered safely in line with legislation.
  • Working with the Deputy Manager to develop an ethos that reflects residents' individual needs.
  • Ensure all staff are working in accordance with the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales.
  • Participate in weekly Duty Manager Meetings to communicate the needs and movements of residents and staff in the home.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong IT and clerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to undertake all required in-house training.
  • Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification required for registration).
  • NMC Registered Nurse with active PIN.
