About The Role

As a Production Team Leader you will have responsibility for leading a team of operatives in the production area for the cheese cutting and packing lines to deliver best in class standards and performance in efficiency, output, quality and safety to satisfy and exceed customer requirements. The shift pattern for this role is a Monday to Friday rotating two-week shift pattern 6:00am-2:00pm / Week 2: 2:00pm-10:00pm. Some flexibility will be required to cover 5am line set ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with overseeing all aspects of the cheese process to maximise output and achieve optimal target performance
  • Operating machinery and completing mandatory quality checks with associated paperwork
  • Responsible for the delivery of the area KPI’s, project support work and achieving departmental PIP targets
  • Assist with managing the team of operatives to ensure good operational performance, and you will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling the waste of materials
  • Working with engineering function to reduce downtime and optimise efficiency

About The Person

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferable FMCG or similar
  • Minimum of 12 months experience of leading and managing a team
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs including Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Awareness of H&S responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
