Dale Farm Cooperative is a UK dairy farmer co-operative owned by over 1200 dairy farmers who supply us with fresh milk. Production Operative – Ash Manor
As a Production Operative, you will be a key member of the Grating and Packing facilities playing a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient production and packing of quality grated cheese. This position is 40 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm/2.00pm-10.00pm (rotating shifts) including bank holidays, as the business requires.
The Role:
- Ensure a quality product by checking for defects
- Operate Machinery as per company Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
- Adjust production lines as needed to avoid downtime
- Assist and support production teams in loading and unloading materials and products as necessary
- Keep accurate records of production activities to comply with company and legislative requirements
- Strictly follow the departments cleaning schedule and support other functions as deemed necessary
The Person:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in manufacturing environment, preferable FMCG or similar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
- Competent in MS Office
- 6 months experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
- 6 months experience in Packing and/or High Care
