Location: Dromona
As the Assistant Quality & Technical Manager (Maternity Cover), you will provide ongoing support to the Quality and Technical Manager, overseeing all quality and technical processes to the end customer. In this exciting role, you will:
- Maintain the Quality Management System & HACCP to ensure compliance with BRC, retailer codes of practice and legislation
- Take a leading role in all Site audits and customer visits
- Liaise with regulatory authorities when required
- Manage the Internal Audit System
- Manage all Raw Material, Customer Specifications and Customer Portals
- Manage the Pest Control System
- Deal with customer queries
- Manage all suppliers from a Technical point of view
- Maintain the calibration schedule
- Maintain Document Control for the site
- Manage Nonconformance system and promote Root Cause Analysis to drive improvements
- Implement appropriate trend analysis and other statistical and factual reporting to support quality improvement e.g. complaints, micro, quality performance, non conformances
- Complete Site audits with the production teams to drive improvements in site standard
- Contribute to NPD projects
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ relevant quality management experience, along with experience of leading an audit. They should have a degree or equivalent in food science/applied science, or in a related discipline.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders groups across the business. Creative, self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and have the drive and flexibility to succeed in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent technical skills with emphasis on attention to detail, problem solving, report and procedural writing skills. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively address external and internal customers and possess the desire to work with the team to drive forward success. Confident individual who can work well under pressure.
