Dale Farm Cooperative is a UK dairy farmer co‑operative owned by over 1200 dairy farmers who supply us with fresh milk. Dale Farm is the largest UK farmer-owned cooperative, owned by 1,300 UK farmers. We supply a wide range of dairy products, including cheese, butter, dairy spreads, fresh milk and ice cream to consumers and as food ingredients into the UK, Irish and international markets. Core to our success is our people, and we now have a new and exciting opportunity within the Supply Chain BI team for Business Improvement Analyst, based at our Head Office in Belfast, with travel to sites as required.
The Role
As a Business Improvement Analyst, you will play a key role in Dale Farm’s Digital Transformation journey. Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, you will focus on the full lifecycle of our ERP systems—from process mapping and testing to training and long‑term data integrity. You will act as a link between operational users and the IT, ensuring our ERP solutions are not only technically sound, but practical, process‑driven tools that enhance efficiency across sites. This role is suited to an individual who is process‑driven, analytical, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead ERP‑driven process improvements to simplify and standardise operations.
- Own end‑to‑end process design, identifying inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
- Ensure ERP solutions support real operations and remove manual workarounds.
- Validate system processes for accuracy across operations, planning and stock.
- Embed SOPs to drive consistent adoption and sustained change.
- Work with site teams to embed standard processes and improve compliance.
- Ensure site ownership of accurate stock and manufacturing data.
- Collaborate with Business Improvement, IT and sites on fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
- Manage multiple improvement initiatives aligned to the Digital Transformation roadmap.
- Support progression toward automation, OEE and MES capabilities.
What we are looking for
- Minimum of two years previous experience in a similar role.
- Relevant third‑level degree / qualification (Business, IT, Supply Chain, or Engineering).
- Working experience with ERP systems, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of production planning / scheduling activities.
- Demonstrable experience in system testing, requirement gathering, and business process analysis.
- Exceptional skills in writing SOPs and technical process documentation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in process mapping software (Visio etc.).
- Right to Work in the UK (Sponsorship is currently not available).
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or Azure DevOps.
- Lean Six Sigma training or certification (Yellow/Green Belt) and experience applying Lean tools to office/system processes.
- Ability to lead diverse user groups and communicate complex technical changes in a simple, engaging way.
