Engineering Technician Multi-Skilled Electrically Biased (Pennybridge)

As part of the site’s multi-skilled engineering team, you will help maximise the reliability and performance of automated production, filling and packing equipment, plant and utilities.

Working closely with production colleagues, you will provide effective fault diagnosis, maintenance and continuous improvement support within a fast-paced fresh milk production environment.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and Engineering Supervisor, your main duties will include;

  • Maximise the reliability, efficiency and performance of production machinery, plant and site utilities.
  • Respond safely and promptly to breakdowns, diagnose electrical, automation and mechanical faults, and complete effective repairs.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance, equipment overhauls and accurate engineering records.
  • Work with production teams to optimise equipment set-up, yields and overall operational efficiency.
  • Deliver continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives that reduce repeat breakdowns, downtime and costs.
  • Support the installation, modification and commissioning of new and existing plant and equipment.
  • Maintain safe, hygienic working standards and comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Work flexibly as part of the shift engineering team, including providing emergency breakdown cover when required. Shifts are 8 week cycle blocks of days and nights.

The successful candidate for this role will approach their work systematically, show the attributes to being reliable, the ability to provide a comprehensive engineering service to the site.
