As Liquid Processing Operator you will undertake a role to maximise product output, efficiencies and quality. The job covers all aspects of our liquid processing operations, including milk reception, liquid despatch, evaporation, water management, process control (including SCADA), quality assurance and plant cleaning-in-place (CIP).
Positions are available on two shift patterns: 3 on, 3 off shift pattern rotating days and nights or 3 on 3 off days only.
The Role:
- Milk Intake offloading, silo management and tanker CIP.
- Milk acceptance testing, inclusive of antibiotic testing, acidity etc.
- CIP of lines and silos at Milk Intake.
- Set up of milk silos etc for cheese production.
- Liquid despatch to external customers and completion of documentation.
- Running of water treatment plant.
- Shunting of tankers.
- Evaporation of lactose permeate, CIP and running of evaporator.
The Person
- Essential Minimum 1 year recent relevant experience in within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Grade C or above in English and Maths.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Desirable
- Experience of using Scada control systems.
- Forklift Truck licence.
- Shunter licence.
