About The Role As a Contracts Supervisor, you'll play a key role supporting our Contracts Managers in the successful delivery of maintenance, insurance and refurbishment projects throughout South Wales.
You will be responsible for coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards.
This is a highly visible role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Supervising directly employed operatives and subcontractors
Supporting Contracts Managers with operational project delivery
Managing multiple projects concurrently
Conducting site inspections and quality assurance audits
Producing scopes of works and quotations
Assisting with estimating and commercial control
Monitoring programme delivery and project performance
Managing materials procurement and supplier relationships
Conducting health and safety inspections and toolbox talks
Attending client meetings and providing project updates
Liaising with surveyors, insurers, loss adjusters and stakeholders
Managing defects, snagging and project handovers
Supporting emergency and urgent response works when required
What We're Looking For We're seeking an organised, motivated and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects.
Essential Experience Property maintenance, construction or facilities management experience
Previous supervisory or project delivery experience
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing labour and subcontractors
Commercial awareness and budget management skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM requirements
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and mobile technology platforms
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience Insurance reinstatement projects
Facilities Management contracts
Retail and hospitality maintenance
Estimating and pricing experience
Building surveying knowledge
Passive fire protection projects
Roofing and building fabric refurbishment
M&E project exposure
SSSTS or SMSTS
IOSH or NEBOSH
