Dale Building Maintenance Ltd are a Specialist Property Maintenance Company based in Cardiff but operate throughout South Wales and the South West of England from five operational centres. We have been in business since 1986 and provide a maintenance and repair service to a variety of customers ranging from Retail, Housing Associations / Care Homes, Leisure and Insurance Companies.

Due to the continued expansion of our Insurance Restoration Division we now require an Insurance Regional Surveyor.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

  • Visiting policyholders' properties and assessing the validity of the claim, confirming cause of damage, measuring, scoping and costing the repairs required from agreed schedule of rates.
  • Reporting using dedicated client software platform.
  • Attending pre-start meetings with policyholder and tradesman / repair partners (sub-contractors) including Day 1 briefing.
  • Record and value any variations.
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations are complied with.
  • Preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Updating our companies own claim tracker DALE flow as well as clients' own Portals.

The suitable applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Good working knowledge of the Maintenance and Repair Industry.
  • Good knowledge of schedule of rates.
  • Proven track record within a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience working on repairs to domestic properties essential.
  • Must be fully conversed with computer data entry; full training will be given.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Good IT knowledge.
