Dale Building Maintenance Ltd is one of the UK's leading property maintenance and facilities management providers. Established for over 40 years, we have built a reputation for reliability, quality workmanship, and exceptional service delivery across a diverse range of sectors.

Due to continued growth and the award of several new long-term contracts, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Southampton team, covering the SO, PO, SP, BH and RG postcode areas. The Role

No two days are the same. You will undertake a variety of reactive maintenance repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and small project works across our client portfolio. Typical works may include:

  • General building repairs
  • Carpentry and joinery
  • Door and lock repairs
  • Kitchen repairs and installations
  • Minor plumbing works
  • Tiling and decorating
  • Flooring repairs
  • Ceiling and partition repairs
  • Roofing repairs
  • Basic drainage works
  • External building maintenance
  • Insurance reinstatement works
  • Planned refurbishment projects
  • Health & safety compliance works

You will work across a wide range of environments, providing an interesting and varied workload whilst representing Dale Building Maintenance Ltd in a professional manner.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Multi-skilled trade background
  • Experience carrying out reactive maintenance and planned works
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
  • Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude

Desirable:

  • Carpentry qualification
  • Plumbing experience
  • Decorating skills
  • Roofing repair experience
  • Facilities Management experience
  • Insurance reinstatement experience
  • IPAF, PASMA or relevant trade qualifications
