From our Head Office and Customer Contact Centre in Cardiff and our regional offices throughout the UK, we deliver reactive maintenance, planned maintenance, refurbishments, insurance reinstatement works and major projects to an extensive portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
Due to continued growth and the successful award of new contracts, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Supervisor to join our Southern Operations Team, supporting and assisting Contracts Managers whilst overseeing a wide range of maintenance, insurance and project works throughout the South Wales areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to progress into a Contracts Manager position whilst working within a fast-paced and diverse environment.
The Role: As a Contracts Supervisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of works across multiple clients and sectors. You will be responsible for assisting Contracts Managers with the operational delivery of maintenance contracts, insurance reinstatement projects and planned refurbishment works whilst ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Projects will range from small reactive works through to larger refurbishment and insurance reinstatement schemes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising engineers, tradesmen and subcontractors on site
- Supporting Contracts Managers in the day-to-day management of projects
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Conducting site visits, inspections and quality audits
- Producing scopes of work and quotations
- Assisting with estimating and cost control
- Managing project programmes and delivery schedules
- Monitoring labour productivity and project performance
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Carrying out toolbox talks and site briefings
- Managing material procurement and supplier relationships
- Attending client meetings and providing progress updates
- Liaising with surveyors, insurers, loss adjusters and stakeholders
- Managing defect resolution and client handovers
- Supporting out-of-hours emergency response operations where required
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of property maintenance, construction and facilities management
- Experience supervising maintenance works, insurance reinstatement projects or refurbishment schemes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Good understanding of commercial awareness and budget control
- Experience dealing with direct labour and subcontractors
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and mobile job management systems
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM requirements
