As a Senior Consents Officer You Will:
- Obtain relevant specialist technical consents and provide technical advice and support to clients in a timely manner.
- Provide professional advice on law and statute within the context of the project and legislation.
- Manage communication activities with clients, contractors, landowners, farmers, occupiers and other stakeholders in support of client objectives.
- Draft and issue consent orders, advising on the technicality of the consent.
- Manage the consenting process, in line with other project deliverables.
- Coordinate access to private land.
- Obtain agreements, evidencing condition of land before entry.
- Advise and agree reinstatement of land and deal with agricultural loss claims.
- Manage teams of consenting officers, aiding their training and development through imparting own knowledge.
- Proactively engage with statutory authorities, clients, contractors, and affected parties, showing a high level of technical knowledge and diplomacy to meet objectives.
- Lead on collaborative working with project teams, often operating from the project/site.
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are kept updated and report on requirements ensuring KPI’s are met across clients and internal teams.
- Ensure good record keeping in the team to monitor and review progress to provide regular client updates and ensure accurate billing.
- Carry out work in compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies.
- Support and provide constructive line management to own direct reports, engaging in regular progress reviews and feedback meetings to delegate tasks effectively.
- Maintain and improve own knowledge and skills through company run training.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have a full UK driving licence.
- Have strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs.
