Our Geomatics graduate programme grants you the opportunity to learn a diverse range of skills across GIS, CAD, Land Referencing and Land Surveying and to become involved in a variety of projects across different sectors. The diversity and range of skills we cover in the DM programme are unique: we ensure that strengths and personal skills are maximised, and we equip our graduates with a robust baseline of Geomatics knowledge allowing them to develop their individual skills and career further.

As a Graduate GIS Specialist You Will:

  • Under guidance, produce maps and plans for clients in support of a wide range of fast-paced projects, including land ownership, access, utility routing, and legal plans.
  • With support, obtain, manage and analyse data from a range of sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency and Utility companies.
  • Utilise the latest technology to update online mapping systems and mobile applications.
  • Initially shadow and gradually move on to working more independently on projects and requests.
  • Develop and maintain own knowledge and skills via company run and wider training.
  • Play a key role in the team by supporting, communicating and helping all other team members.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree or masters in GIS or a closely related subject such as Geography, Surveying or Land Management with a large GIS component.
  • A working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software for spatial data capture, management and analysis.
  • A familiarity with Land Registry, Ordnance Survey and other UK wide datasets/sources.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Be a great team player with a can-do attitude.
