About the Programme
The Geomatics graduate programme offers an opportunity to learn a diverse range of skills across GIS, CAD, Land Referencing and Land Surveying and to work on projects across different sectors. We maximise strengths and personal skills, providing a robust baseline of Geomatics knowledge for career development.
As a Graduate GIS Specialist You Will
- Under guidance, produce maps and plans for clients in support of fast‑paced projects, including land ownership, access, utility routing and legal plans.
- Obtain, manage and analyse data from a range of sources such as the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency and utility companies.
- Utilise the latest technology to update online mapping systems and mobile applications.
- Shadow initially and gradually take on more independent project work and requests.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skills through company‑run and wider training programmes.
- Support, communicate and assist other team members.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have a degree or masters in GIS or a closely related subject such as Geography, Surveying or Land Management with a large GIS component.
- Have a working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software for spatial data capture, management and analysis.
- Be familiar with Land Registry, Ordnance Survey and other UK‑wide datasets/sources.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to sites and project locations.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be a great team player with a can‑do attitude.
