As a Consents & Liaison Officer you will:
- Manage liaison activities with clients, contractors, landowners, farmers, occupiers and other stakeholders in support of client objectives
- Arrange access to private land
- Serve notices
- Obtain agreements/consents, evidencing condition of land before entry
- Advise and agree reinstatement of land and deal with agricultural loss claims
- Ensure the team proactively engages with landowners and occupiers on site as required projecting a professional image of the client and DM
- Work closely with the project teams, often operating from the project/client site
- Ensure all parties are kept updated and report on requirements by working closely with key stakeholders and their subcontractors, providing client updates through IT systems and meetings
- Ensure good record keeping in the team to monitor and review progress, provide regular client updates and ensure accurate billing
- Carry out work in compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies
- Support and provide constructive line management to own direct reports, engaging in regular progress review and feedback meetings and delegating tasks effectively
- Maintain and improve own knowledge and skills through company run training
The successful candidate will:
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Have strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs
- Understand and demonstrate what excellent customer service looks like
- Be commercially focused and keen to use innovation and technology to deliver efficiencies
- Possess a willingness to challenge the norm
