As a Graduate Land Referencer you will:
- Be part of multidisciplinary project delivery teams delivering on a diverse variety of projects with specific responsibility for key elements of the land referencing process.
- Receive guidance from our highly experienced team to utilise and develop your own technical skills to follow the land referencing process, manage data and assist in the production of deliverables for internal and external clients in support of large scale, fast paced projects.
- Be enrolled on our Land Referencing Graduate pathway which provides a clear route map for building your knowledge and supporting professional development as well as your progression.
Key Activities
- Under guidance, produce consistently high quality, error free land and property ownership data outputs and reports for internal and external clients in support of a wide range of projects, on time and within budget to maintain company standards.
- Obtain, manage and analyse data from a range of sources including HM Land Registry, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients.
- Process and interpret requests for information returned by project stakeholders such as landowners, tenants and land agents.
- Utilise basic data management techniques to produce clean and usable data sets suitable for future deliverables.
- Undertake analysis of title information to confirm ownership and third-party land interests.
- Build knowledge and experience of land registration practices and project consenting strategies across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
- Undertake site visits to support the land referencing process including the installation and maintenance of site notices.
- Run mail merges to support mail shots to project stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have a degree in an area broadly related to land (e.g. Geography, Geospatial Science, Estate or Property Management, Planning, Land or Property Law).
- Have great IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be results-driven and a keen problem solver.
- Have the ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Have an awareness of GIS (desirable).
- Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations.
- Be a great team player and have a can-do attitude.
- Have an inquisitive and curious mindset with a willingness to question and challenge information presented to you.
- Initially shadow and gradually move on to working more independently on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work.
