· Assigned to a machine(s) to set in a safe, effective and efficient manor, whilst maintaining precision, accuracy & quality at all times.
· To provide a safe and methodical handover to an assigned Operator and provide technical assistance when required.
· Work alongside the Operators to achieve and uphold the required output from the machine(s) in order to maintain schedule and achieve targeted dispatch dates.
· Be responsible for first off & in-process checks to Blue Print using a range of measuring equipment including metrology machines, hand measuring equipment and gauges.
· To carry out routine maintenance and house-keeping duties within their capability level or in the of case of difficulty or anticipated delay, advise the Team Leader.
· To clean and deburr parts to customer specifications when required.
· Boxing or packaging of components, when required, to customer specifications.
· To carries out additional duties as requested by Team Leader
*Responsible To:* 5 Axis Team Leader | Milled Components
*Required Capabilities:*
· Knowledge of setting CNC 5 Axis vertical milling machines critical.
· Must have knowledge of at least one of the following controls:
- Heidenhain (preferred)
- Winmax
- Haas
· Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings
· Experience with gauges and inspection equipment along with interpretation of metrology reports and analysis, ideally including GD+T.
· Experience of using various work holding solutions, tool holding methods and cutting tools.
*Objectives:*
· Setting within the 5-axis machine shop, using a variety of 5-Axis vertical mills.
· Working as part of a team to maximise output and efficiency whilst working towards departmental KPI’s.
