CNC Setter – 5 Axis Milling

Job Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex Responsible to: 5 Axis Team Leader | Milled ComponentsSalary: Negotiable (DOE) Department: 5 AxisKey Responsibilities:Assigned to a machine(s) to set in a safe, effective and efficient manor, whilst maintaining precision, accuracy & quality at all times.To provide a safe and methodical handover to an assigned Operator and provide technical assistance when required.Work alongside the Operators to achieve and uphold the required output from the machine(s) in order to maintain schedule and achieve targeted despatch dates.Be responsible for first off & in-process checks to Blue Print using a range of measuring equipment including metrology machines, hand measuring equipment and gauges.To carry out routine maintenance and house-keeping duties within their capability level or in the of case of difficulty or anticipated delay, advise the Team Leader.To clean and deburr parts to customer specifications when required.Boxing or packaging of components, when required, to customer specifications.To carries out additional duties as requested by Team LeaderRequired Capabilities:Knowledge of setting CNC 5 Axis vertical milling machines critical.Must have knowledge of at least one of the following controls: Heidenhain (preferred) – Winmax – HaasAbility to interpret and understand technical drawingsExperience with gauges and inspection equipment along with interpretation of metrology reports and analysis, ideally including GD+T.Experience of using various work holding solutions, tool holding methods and cutting tools.Objectives:Setting within the 5-axis machine shop, using a variety of 5-Axis vertical mills.Working as part of a team to maximise output and efficiency whilst working towards departmental KPI\’s.HSQE Behaviours:To always ensure that their acts or omissions do not present a danger to themselves, anyone else, the environment or the safe operation of any plant or equipmentTo intervene and report any defect in equipment or practice or any dangerous circumstance or event which could affect HSQE performanceTo comply with all HSQE customer and company requirementsBehaviours:Good team and interpersonal skillsEffective time management, both in general timekeeping and overseeing of individual and multiple jobsBe professional – loyal to the organization, take personal responsibilityApply Now Get in touch with us today to discuss your project
