We at Dalair LTD, part of Swegon Group, design, manufacture and install high quality, large scale Air Handling Units. We are pleased to be offering the opportunity to join our growing production team in the position of Assembly Fitter.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Basic assembly of the framework of air handling units.
  • Use of hand tools, drills and tape measures to construct framework.
  • Move panels and sheet steel to workstation as required.
  • Fit the panels and framework to the structures assembled.
  • Maintain and uphold cleanliness and tidiness at all times within the workplace.
  • Work within guidelines of Health and Safety at work policy.
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times; gangways, access doors and fire doors to be kept clean and free at all times.
  • Notify the health and safety manager or supervisor of any risks or unsafe conditions. If unsure or need advice on guidelines, this should be sought from the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Upon gaining experience: Fit items of plant (coils, fans, heat wheels and other parts) within the assembled structure.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a basic understanding of measurement metrics and measurement tools, such as tape measures, to guarantee precise and accurate work.
  • Be fully committed to your role and adhere to expectations of the title carried.
  • Willingness and understanding that the role includes lifting and carrying of steel and drilling throughout the working day.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous work with air handling units.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic/GA drawings.

Job Details:

  • Type: Full-time
  • Pay: Starting from £12.25 per hour (Dependant on experience)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with potential overtime)
  • Work Location: In-person at our Wednesbury factory
