We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our Electrical Team based in our Factory in Wednesbury. The ideal candidate will understand that this position is a full time, permanent position for a qualified Electrician to complete electrical installation of various components to bespoke Air Handling Systems. The position is days only working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm with opportunities for overtime.
The candidate will have hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical systems, and will be responsible for assembling and installing electrical components as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and work from GA (General Arrangement) drawings and specifications in accordance with UK electrical safety standards (BS 7671, 18th Edition wiring regulations).
- Wire from installed isolators/inverters to three phase fans and motors. The fans can be both EC and induction AC motors within the HVAC systems.
- Electrical heater batteries may require wiring from 1.0 kW to 100 kW.
- Install and align bulkhead lighting using various containment methods, including galvanised steel, stainless steel or PVC conduit both internally and externally to the units.
- Inspect and test completed installation with continuity and insulation resistance tester, with results recorded on an electrical completion certificate.
- Remain calm whilst working under pressure in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Maintain to strict quality standards.
- Escalate issues where necessary to your Supervisor.
- Be adaptable and responsive to design changes where necessary.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter, Improver, or in a similar role.
- Experience working on Air Handling Units is preferable.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, electrical systems, and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Relevant vocational qualification in electrics (e.g., 18th Edition wiring regulations).
- Pay: £17.50 - 19.50 per hour (dependant on experience).
- Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
