About the Role
You’ll be carrying out flushing and cleaning of closed systems, performing back flushing, system cleansing, and chemical dosing across heating and chilled water systems. You’ll set up and operate flushing rigs, pumps, and filtration equipment, ensuring all works are completed in line with site procedures and health & safety standards. You will be supporting senior engineers on larger or more complex projects, and wishing to grow your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre‑commission cleaning (flushing & chemical cleaning of closed systems)
- Water hygiene tasks (TMV servicing, tank cleaning, calorifier inspections)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards & regulations
- Maintain high safety standards on site and in vehicles
Essential Requirements
- 1+ years in water treatment or building services
- Experience with conventional & CPC filtration flushing
- Legionella Risk Assessor qualification
- Knowledge of BSRIA BG29/2021 & BG50/2021, HSE ACoP L8, HSG274 Parts 2 & 3
- Strong health & safety awareness and Microsoft Office skills
- Clean driving licence
- Available to stay away (on occasion)
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in flushing / pre‑commission cleaning
- Working knowledge of BG29 and BG50 (or exposure to these standards)
- Understanding of heating and chilled water systems
- A hands‑on, reliable approach with a strong work ethic
