The Opportunity
As a Flushing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-commission cleaning, flushing and water treatment services across a variety of commercial and industrial projects nationwide. You’ll work with experienced colleagues on technically challenging projects, using industry-leading equipment and processes to ensure systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-commission cleaning of heating and chilled water systems
- Power flushing, back flushing and chemical cleaning activities
- Chemical dosing and closed-system water treatment
- Installation and operation of flushing rigs, pumps and filtration equipment
- Collection and recording of system data and test results
- Maintenance of equipment, vehicles and site documentation
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures and industry standards
- Working closely with colleagues, clients and site teams to deliver exceptional service
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience within flushing, water treatment or building services
- Knowledge of pre-commission cleaning and closed-system treatment
- Experience operating flushing and filtration equipment
- Good understanding of heating and chilled water systems
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away when required
Desirable:
- Experience with conventional and CPC filtration flushing
- Knowledge of BSRIA BG29 and BG50 guidance
- Legionella Risk Assessor qualification
- Water hygiene experience
- Microsoft Office skills
