We are seeking a hard-working and skilled individual with an aptitude for general DIY tasks for the role of

Maintenance Assistant.

  • PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out a broad range of maintenance tasks in accordance with your skillset and participate in maintenance activities such as installing, maintaining, decorating, light plumbing, tiling, light joinery, PAT testing, grouting and silicone work.
  • Action schedules to ensure the fabric of the building is both aesthetically well-maintained, as well as wholly compliant with all areas of legislation, completing necessary checks and records.
  • Ensure that all tasks, requests, and project work is carried out to high finishing standards and in a timely matter, meeting agreed timescales on project work.
  • Ensure that the planned maintenance schedules and project schedules are kept up to date.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager to maintain company standards within guest bedrooms and public areas.

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be

  • Have at least two years’ experience in a maintenance-based role with a good aptitude to carrying out varied maintenance-based tasks.

Experience may also be across trades such as tiler, plasterer, plumber etc.

  • Fully computer literate.
  • Experience in an accommodation-based commercial environment such as in newbuild housing, hotels, or rented accommodation is strongly favoured.
  • Keen attention to detail and high standards of finishing.
  • Ability to work at pace with little to no supervision.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in carrying out general maintenance tasks with a broad understanding.
  • An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
  • Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
