  • PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out Duty Manager shifts, owning the day-to-day running of the hotel and keeping things moving smoothly for both guests and the team.
  • Be the primary point of contact for team members and guests when appointed the role of Duty Manager.

Coordinate the entire operation and strive to add value to the guest experience in any way possible.

  • Be present across all areas, stepping in where needed to keep service on track.

Be proactive in remaining fully trained to support across all operational departments to be able to alleviate operational challenges including those arisen from team shortages and managing last minute pick up.

Maintain the ability to be a certified First Aider at Work.

  • Complete daily health and safety walkarounds and keep back-of-house spaces in check ensuring they are clean, safe, and aligned with brand and legal standards.
  • Be the lead fire warden for the hotel in the event of an emergency evacuation in accordance with the current procedure.

During an evacuation allocate fire task cards to fellow fire wardens to assist with the evacuation of the hotel.

  • Undertake one week night shifts, as the allocated Duty Manager, overseeing the smooth running of the entire hotel during night time hours and the implementation of night time procedures
  • Be ultimately in control of the security and safety of guests and employees within thbuilding.
  • APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be

  • A minimum of three years experience working in a restaurant environment and one years experience at supervisor level or above [required].
  • Demonstrable ability to host and run a restaurant service [required].
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a hotel environment [required].
  • Experience being a hotel Duty Manager [preferable].
  • Experience working in 4* and 5* hotels [preferable].
  • Although full training will be given, the following previous training is strongly favoured: Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Personal License.
  • Motivational leadership skills and a genuine desire to deliver training and coaching.
  • Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, available to work flexible shifts and present in the business during peak times.
  • Ability to work at pace through service times and be proactive for the duration of your shift.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
