We are seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping Team in the role of Linen Porter.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
Earnings are £12.90 per hour, paid weekly. We are looking for both full time and part time positions.
- Full time: Permanent contract with typical hours of 37.5 hours per week. Usually shifts will be 05:00-13:30 or 08:00-16:30, working any 5 days out of 7.
- Part Time: Permanent contract with typical hours of 21 hours per week. Usually shifts will be 05:00-13:30 or 08:00-16:30 working any 3 days out of 7.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Count in linen deliveries and manage linen stock by counting all linen to be sent away for laundering and in-house stock.
- Strip beds and remove all used linens and towels from guest bedrooms ahead of the Room Attendant/Housekeeper servicing the room.
- As relief cover, you will be required to carry out the tasks of a Room Attendant/Housekeeper on occasion. This requires you to thoroughly deep clean guest bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, make beds, and detail to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space.
- Carry out more heavy duty tasks within the department such as mattress turning, and setting up z-beds and cots.
- Action notes on guest preferences and requests to personalize guest stays e.g. provide firm pillows.
- Follow health and safety procedures closely at all times such as those pertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and usage of cleaning equipment such as steamers.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of one years working experience in a cleaning or labouring role is strongly preferred.
- Someone with an eye for detail and who likes to work alone.
- A reliable and dependable individual.

- Bus: Bee Network routes (43, 103, 130, 199, 248, 288, 313, 368) serve the airport; some stop a few minutes from the hotel, others at the main station (approximately 10 minutes walk away).
- Car: No on-site team parking; public transport is recommended.
- Cycling: Good local routes; secure bike storage available at the team entrance.
