Dakota Hotels are seeking a strong team leader with the highest standards of cleanliness for the role of Executive Housekeeper.
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the entire hotel and operation of the housekeepingfunction as a whole.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The primaryresponsibilities of the role are
- Work with meticulous attention to detail when checking standards of cleanliness, and oversee that all 92 bedrooms, public areas, events spaces, and back of house areas are in accordance with brand standards.
- Working closely with the Maintenance Team to maintain the highest standards ensuring that the whole building is? aesthetically well-maintained.
- Oversee the cleaning carried out by the nights team and work with the Senior Night Manager to ensure thatnightscleaning checklists are actioned, so that highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times of the day.
- Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure back of house areas are presentable and cleaning maintained, including storage and bin areas.
Provide resource and support in driving cleaning standards as required.
- Be responsible for ensuring the Housekeeping team follow H&S procedures and carry out on the job compliance-based training such as chemical handling.
- Support the Housekeeping Manager by carrying out HR tasks such onboarding and developing the Housekeeping team; implementing New Start Training Plans, holding reviews and appraisals, carrying out return to work interviews, and providing daily guidance to the Housekeeping Management team.
- Maintain a visible presence within the operation by undertaking early Duty Manager responsibilities where required, ensuring standards through room checks, managing stock and ordering processes, and coaching the team to drive performance and consistency.
- Maintain strong communication links and effective coordination with other departments, particularly maintenance andreception, and work with proactive forethought regarding the operation of the entire hotel.
- Develop and review the Housekeeping rota to ensure it is in line with budgeted payroll costs and forecasted room sales, whilst managing holiday usage.
- APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have/be
- A minimum of threeyears experienceas a Housekeeping Manager in a hotel [required].
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team focused on cleaning [required].
- Working experience in a4 or 5 starhotel [beneficial].
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Be fully computer literate with experience in writing rotas [required].
- Have a working knowledge of health and safety guidelines and practices, particularly COSHH regulations [beneficial].
- An established and confident leader, who works to motivate and develop your team. Havestrong trainingskills.
- Hands‑on approach to all aspects of the role, willing and able to support our team through all tasks necessary within the operation.
