Dakota Hotel based in Glasgow City Centre are seeking a hard-working and skilled individual for the role of Maintenance Technician with a focus on painting and decorating. Initially, the successful candidate will provide support for a project based at our Eurocentral property. Then the role will be based at our Glasgow City Centre hotel.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
This is a fixed term position starting from 1st August 2025 until the 1st February 2027. The role carries a fixed term contract of a minimum of 37.5 hours per week and typical shifts will be 9am-5:30pm, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday.
Primary Role Responsibilities
- To carry out painting tasks within guest bedrooms, public areas and the grounds.
- Work strictly within health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with project work at Dakota Eurocentral property.
- Ensure that all tasks and requests are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain company standards within guest bedrooms and public areas.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.
- Complete general maintenance tasks such as DIY tasks and de-scaling shower heads, siliconing and grouting, carrying out light works in bathrooms.
- Prepare walls for painting including sanding, filling and ames taping where necessary.
