Dakota Hotel based in Newcastle are seeking an outgoing individual with waiting experience for the role of Restaurant Waiter/Waitress to deliver exceptional service to our guests. Working part-time, predominantly Friday and Saturday dinner service, this role is ideal for students and those with weekday commitments. We are a brand-new, stylish hotel, ideally situated on the Quayside, our hotel boasts 118 bedrooms including 33 suites. Dakota Newcastle hosts our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an events space for up to 60. CONTRACT AND PAY RATE Earnings are up to £13.21 per hour, based on National Minimum Wage and are paid weekly, equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £12,364 (inclusive of the anticipated tronc payment). The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 18 hours per week and typical shifts will be working a minimum of 3 days out of 7, this role will include working weekends. The hours include between Monday-Saturday; 5pm-11pm, and then between the hours of 12pm-11pm on a Sunday due to a longer service. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out the role of a section waiter/waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables. Provide the highest levels of guest service, offering personalised dish and beverage recommendations, and delivering a memorable dining experience. Work closely with the Bar and Kitchen team to ensure the effective flow of communication. To have a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menu options to enhance the guest experience.
