The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 £ per year.

  • PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, PAT testing, grout and silicone repairs, basic carpentry, and minor repairs such as lightbulb changes and carpet cleaning.
  • Ensure that all tasks, requests, and project work is carried out to high finishing standards and in a timely manner, meeting agreed timescales on project work.
  • Ensure that the planned maintenance schedules and project schedules are kept up to date.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager to maintain company standards within guest bedrooms and public areas.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.
  • Carry out all necessary surface preparation, including sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Paint bedrooms, hallways, and public areas, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Handle any wallpapering, including hanging, removal, and touch-ups when needed.
  • Repair and repaint damaged areas promptly to maintain hotel aesthetics.
  • Complete decorative finishes and restoration work to preserve the hotel's look and feel.
  • Ensure that painting projects are completed with minimal disruption to guests and operations.
  • Manage all internal and external painting tasks without relying on contractors.
  • APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful applicant will have/be:
  • Have at least two years’ experience in a painter-based role with a good aptitude to carrying out varied maintenance-based tasks.

Experience may also be across trades such as tiler, plasterer, plumber etc.

  • Fully computer literate.
  • Experience in an accommodation-based commercial environment such as in newbuild housing, hotels, or rented accommodation is strongly favoured.
  • Keen attention to detail and high standards of finishing.
  • Ability to work at pace with little to no supervision.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in carrying out general maintenance tasks with a broad understanding.
  • An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
  • Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
