Newcastle are seekingan people person to welcome guests into the hotel, valet park their cars, bag porter ing, and general assistant tasks in the role of Front of House Valet Porter .
This is a fixed term contract and will conclude on 4th January 2026.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
Earnings are £13 per hour, paid weekly equatingto a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £10,816.
The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 16 hours per week, across predominately 2 shifts on Friday, Saturdays or Sundays.
- PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the cleanliness of our vehicles including washing and valet ing the car.
- This role will include valet parking guests cars so requires you to have a clean full UK drivers license and have been driving for a minimum of 5 years.
- Be proactive in supporting the Rec eption team by welcoming guests upon arrival to the hotel and providing bag porter ing.
Ensure our lobby is pristine at all times , clearing the tables, taking coffee/drinks orders from guests, and carrying out light cleaning tasks.
- Provide a consistently excellent level of guest service in accordance to our service principles and values, ensuring that all guests rec eive special attention and rec ognition.
- Work closely alongside all other departments especially Rec eption to ensure excellent communication and be proactive in assisting other departments as required .
This may include delivering room service, taking laundry and general items to guest bedrooms, and answering the hotel phone.
- Offer additional services to make the guest experience more seamless i. e. making restaurant reservations, assisting in di rec tions, providing local rec ommendations.
- Work closely alongside all other departments to ensure excellent communication and be proactive in assisting other departments as required .

Dakota Hotels are coming to Newcastle city centre in early 2025.
Ideally situated by the Gateshead Millennium Bridge on the quayside, our hotel will boast 118 bedrooms including stunning 33 suites.
Dakota Newcastle will host our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an events space for up to 60.

The successful applicant will have/be
- Due to car insurance requirements, the applicant must have a full UK drivers license with a maximum of 6 points and have been driving for 5 years +.
- A proactive individual who can keep themselves busy, be helpful in support Rec eption and the Bar, and be willing to go over and above expectations to delight our guests.
- Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role , being proactive to carry guest s luggage and provide general assistance .
- Computer literate.
- An enthusiastic individualwho will promote our culture of positivity.
- Be task oriented with agreat pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
- Flexible with shiftpatterns and available around the needs of our business.
