Dakota Hotel based in SOUTH QUEENSFERRY are seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping Team in the role of Linen Porter.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
Earnings are £12.21 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £19,047. The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 30 hours per week and typical shifts will be working any 5 days out of 7, this includes regular working weekends.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Count in linen deliveries and manage linen stock by counting all linen to be sent away for laundering and in-house stock.
- Strip beds and remove all used linens and towels from guest bedrooms ahead of the Room Attendant/Housekeeper servicing the room.
- As relief cover, you will be required to carry out the tasks of a Room Attendant/Housekeeper on occasion, which requires you to thoroughly deep clean guest bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, make beds, and detail to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space.
- Carry out more heavy-duty tasks within the department such as mattress turning, and setting up z-beds and cots.
- Action notes on guest preferences and requests to personalize guest stays e.g. provide firm pillows.
- Follow health and safety procedures closely at all times such as those pertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and usage of cleaning equipment such as steamers.
