Daiwa Capital Markets Europe (DCME) requires an experienced Oracle Financials Technical Developer to join an in-house team supporting and maintaining Oracle Financials and other back-office applications.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, multiple Oracle implementation experiences, and a deep sense of product ownership.

Candidates should be comfortable proactively communicating with both IT and business stakeholders across a range of seniority levels and possess a practical, solutions-focused approach.

In addition to supporting the existing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment, the role will play a key part in DCME's strategic programme to migrate its current on-premises Oracle Financials platform onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, development, testing, integration, and migration activities associated with the DCME Cloud transformation programme, while ensuring continuity and stability of the existing production environment throughout the transition.

Role emphasis: The role combines BAU 2nd line support of the current Oracle EBS estate with hands-on technical contribution to the functional development of the current Oracle configurations and migration of Oracle Financials from on-premises infrastructure onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

  • Support and BAU operation of core Oracle EBS modules, particularly i Proc, i Exp, PO, AP, GL, AR and FA, with Oracle Release 12.2. x experience.
  • As an Oracle EBS Technical Developer, ensure system availability, technical enhancements and defect resolution.
  • Support the firm's Oracle infrastructure migration programme, including technical analysis, application migration, data migration, interface remediation, testing, deployment and post-migration support as Oracle Financials is transitioned from on-premises infrastructure onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, infrastructure teams, vendors and implementation partners to ensure a successful transition of Oracle Financials from the current on-premises environment onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise, optimise and improve the resilience, scalability and operational supportability of Oracle Financials within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Document current-state technical architecture, integrations, customisations and support processes to facilitate migration and future supportability.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, impact assessments, infrastructure planning and environment migration activities associated with the DCME Cloud transformation programme.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Oracle Financials as prioritised by the Technology Leadership Team.
