We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with a strong foundation in identifying, analysing, and mitigating cyber threats. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data, maintaining system integrity, and supporting the organisation’s wider risk management strategy.
Salary: Up to £40,000.00
Location: Cheadle
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 - 5:00/5:30 (37.5 hours)
Responsibilities:
- Respond to security alerts, escalations, and incidents in a timely manner.
- Oversee vulnerability scanning processes to validate the effectiveness of patching efforts.
- Arrange and support security penetration testing initiatives.
- Monitor external information sources and provide recommendations on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities relevant to our environment.
- Assess, plan, and coordinate patch management activities for internal systems and hardware.
- Evaluate and recommend server hardening measures for implementation by the Infrastructure Team.
- Assist with the configuration of email and internet security solutions.
- Ensure all security configurations comply with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
