Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 - 17:00/17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical support and assist with the implementation of a Daisy standalone IT infrastructure.
- Design, support & optimise physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.
- Work with external networking, infrastructure and support teams.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasks.
- Manage and complete effective documentation of server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems.
- Actively perform system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processes.
- Be an escalation point for the deskside support team.
- Mentor the junior members of the IT team.
- Be able to act on Cyber Security Alerts.
What We’re Looking For
- Microsoft Dynamics
- VMware / Hyper‑V implementation/administration/troubleshooting
- General System Administration skills (Operating systems, hardware, virtualization)
- Infrastructure security (Firewalls/AV)
- Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/GPO etc.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012r2 – 2022
- Various Backup Tools including Rubrik and DPM
- Organised with high attention to detail.
- Cloud Experience AWS/Azure
- Cyber Security Knowledge
- Microsoft 365 Experience
