Rainbow Nursery is part of Daisy and Rainbow Childcare, a long-established local charity offering a nurturing, play-based environment for children aged 3 months–4 years. We focus on creativity, exploration, and building strong relationships with families.
Role Overview
Looking for a fun, rewarding role working with young children? As a Nursery Play Buddy, you’ll spend your day engaging in play, supporting children’s development, and learning from experienced early years practitioners. This is a great opportunity to start or return to a career in childcare, with potential training and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children (0–5 years) through play‑based activities
- Engage in singing, storytelling, messy play, and outdoor activities
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment
- Support children’s daily routines, including meals and basic care
- Work closely with the team to meet children’s needs
- Assist with setting up and maintaining play spaces
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Requirements
- GCSEs (Level 2/3 Early Years desirable but not essential)
- Warm, friendly, and playful approach
- Enjoy working with young children
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
Desirable
- Early years or child development training
- First Aid qualification
