Rainbow Nursery is part of Daisy and Rainbow Childcare, a long-established local charity offering high-quality early years care. We provide a nurturing, play-based environment for children aged 3 months–4 years, with a strong focus on creativity, exploration, and partnership with families.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Keyperson to support a group of 2–3-year-olds while working across the wider nursery. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS, helping children develop confidence, independence, and a positive self-image.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Keyperson for a group of children, supporting learning and development
  • Plan and deliver play-based activities in line with EYFS
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress
  • Build strong relationships with parents/carers and provide daily feedback
  • Support children’s care needs (e.g. meals, toileting, routines)
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
  • Work collaboratively with the team and support nursery routines
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies

Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Experience working with children under 5
  • Good understanding of EYFS and child development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Warm, playful, and nurturing approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development

Desirable

  • First Aid or Food Hygiene certificate
  • Additional early years or SEND training
