Rainbow Nursery is part of Daisy and Rainbow Childcare, a long-established local charity offering high-quality early years care. We provide a nurturing, play-based environment for children aged 3 months–4 years, with a strong focus on creativity, exploration, and partnership with families.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Keyperson to support a group of 2–3-year-olds while working across the wider nursery. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS, helping children develop confidence, independence, and a positive self-image.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Keyperson for a group of children, supporting learning and development
- Plan and deliver play-based activities in line with EYFS
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers and provide daily feedback
- Support children’s care needs (e.g. meals, toileting, routines)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Work collaboratively with the team and support nursery routines
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Experience working with children under 5
- Good understanding of EYFS and child development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Warm, playful, and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development
Desirable
- First Aid or Food Hygiene certificate
- Additional early years or SEND training
