Purpose of the role: To act as a trusted technical partner to customers by demonstrating how Dairygold products perform in their applications, offering clear solutions that support customer innovation and growth. Provides hands-on technical support throughout the development and trial process, ensuring successful delivery of customer projects and seamless introduction of new products into manufacturing.
Key activities will include:
- Main technical contact for customer briefs, working directly with customer NPD teams, leading discussions, providing evidence-based recommendations
- Work closely with customers to understand their goals, category pressures, and product performance requirements & offer clear guidance on product suitability and functionality
- Analyse application and trial data to deliver clear monthly insights & maintain accurate, accessible records of all samples and trials
- Lead commercially driven factory trials that directly support customer strategies
- Evaluate trial output with a customer-first commercially minded approach
- Actively share category insights, market signals and emerging opportunities
- Continuously develop strong technical and commercial capability & work collaboratively with customer NPD and Procurement teams
- Build effective cross-functional ways of working that accelerate customer projects
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in a Dairy manufacturing environment (eg pasteurisation, homogenisation, incubation, cooling, cheese composition)
- Understanding of NPD project lifecycle
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience in Dairy science, protein chemistry, functional ingredients or fermented products
- Experience conducting product trials and analysing performance
- Strong understanding of how to translate scientific principles into customer solutions
- Works effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. Demonstrates flexibility, supports colleagues, and maintains high standards of professionalism. Takes pride in work, adapts to changing priorities, and helps drive collective success
