The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Mon to Thurs: 8 to 5pm; Fri 8 to 4pm

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the purpose of the role is to ensure a robust FSQMS is in place which is compliant with legislation and customer Codes of Practice that ensures Dairygold Food Ingredients UK delivers a quality, authentic, legal and safe food product.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Maintain the Food Safety Quality Management System to meet BRC and customer standards
  • Complete GAP analysis for any new requirements, non-conformances/observations/recommendations and update and communicate changes
  • Document control all HACCP documentation and meetings
  • Maintain internal audit schedule, support audits, administer and ensure completion with tracker
  • Coordinate shelf-life trials where required with support from QA Team
  • Support the TM in product and environmental sampling
  • Maintain Traceability schedule in line with BRC / customer requirements
  • Manage documentation of site risk assessments and ensure they are reviewed as required
  • Document control all documentation relating to TACCP and VACCP
  • Manage accreditation, specification and compliance information required for all suppliers to DFI Leeds & maintain KPIs, risk assessments and specifications as required
  • Review responses to category 1 & 2 complaints & ensure response meets consumer, customer and business requirements
  • Provide support to QA and TM for Complaint and C of A queries and resolution
  • Accurately maintain records of Leeds customer specifications ensuring that customer and internal use
  • Manage review and re-issue of finished products in line with schedule requirements (every 3 years)
  • Organise finished product specifications on the system
  • Drive culture of continuous improvement
  • Generate Technical reports on time; develop reporting methods for internal / Ireland use
  • Maintain customer KPI systems, ensuring they are completed
  • Collate and trend data from Audits, Non-Conformance, Pest Control and Taste Panels for business reporting
  • Manage Technical training of colleagues to ensure compliance

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of the food industry essential & within Dairy / Cheese manufacture advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience or qualifications within the Food industry
  • Significant experience of FS and QMS including HACCP, internal audit and complaint handling
  • Experience of managing customer expectations
  • Team player, who communicates effectively
  • Understanding how business operates and their role
  • Delivers results and can be counted on to get things done
  • Sets, manages and tracks KPIs and has contingencies
  • Demonstrates excellent accuracy and attention to detail
