Dairy UK is looking for a motivated and proactive communications professional to join our small, friendly team. The Communications Executive will play an important role within Dairy UK, supporting the Communications Manager to deliver high-quality communications across a varied portfolio of strategic work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in PR or communications who is looking to develop their skills in a busy and varied role at the heart of one of the UK’s most important food sectors.
The Communications Executive will be an important member of the team, supporting the Communications Manager to deliver across a number of strategic work areas on behalf of the British dairy processing industry.
- Supporting the Communications Manager and Chief Executive in all aspects related to media, public, industry and other external enquiries.
- Supporting key members of the Dairy UK team.
- Working as part of the team to deliver our social and digital strategies.
- Assisting with website and social media updating where required.
- Supporting the Dairy UK Communications manager in delivering key events.
- Helping to create and deliver promotional materials for Dairy UK run and attended events – both online and physical.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within Dairy UK to provide communications advice and practical support.
- Supporting the Communications Manager in member, industry and stakeholder communications related to Dairy UK, its schemes and wider industry initiatives.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years’ experience within a PR/communications related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the food and drink, FMCG or agricultural sectors.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in public relations, communications, marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience of digital PR tools (such as press databases, website content management systems and email platforms such as Mailchimp).
