Daintta are a rapidly growing, values-driven team of specialists who work with government clients across Cyber Security, National Security, Law Enforcement, Telecommunications, Defence, Science and Technology.
The Technical Consultant provides specialist technical design, build and assurance expertise for our clients in complex, secure environments.
The role connects operational requirements through to technically based solutions, ensuring outputs are scalable, interoperable, secure-by-design and operationally effective.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and advice across a range of technology, engineering and architecture disciplines, aligned to the needs of the engagement.
- Develop or contribute to appropriate technical artefacts, such as requirements, designs, architectures, interface definitions, technical plans and assurance documentation, where required.
- Translate business and operational needs into practical technical solutions and recommendations.
- Support the design, development, integration, testing, transition and operation of technology solutions as appropriate to the role and engagement.
- Assess technical options, risks, dependencies and trade-offs, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure technical solutions consider relevant architecture, engineering, security, assurance, regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with business, delivery, engineering, architecture, security and operational teams to resolve technical challenges and deliver outcomes.
- Contribute to technical governance, design reviews, assurance and lifecycle activities where appropriate.
Skills/Knowledge
- The role requires the following key skills / knowledge, non-exhaustively:
- Strong analytical thinking & problem-solving skills.
- Expertise with one or more of the following: Solution Architecture, Software development, Telecommunications & networking, Cyber Security and/or Data Science.
- Security architecture, secure-by-design principles and systems assurance/accreditation considerations.
- Technical governance, design assurance, risk management and lifecycle/transition planning.
- Configuration and change management, technical documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous engineering experience working on systems within defence, security, policing, central government or secure public-sector programmes.
- Experience delivering or assuring complex systems, integrations or technology-enabled services.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary technical and operational teams, including secure or regulated environments.
- Familiarisation with cloud technology platforms.
- Experience with modern development & deployment methodologies.
- Experience working with Cross Domain solutions.
