We’re seeking a talented Mixed Tax Advisory Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing tax team. You’ll play a key role in managing a diverse client portfolio, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the long-term success of the department. Our tax team collaborates closely with audit, accounts, and general partners. The team is currently made up of 25 team members, including three partners, five tax managers, two advisory specialist managers and one R&D specialist. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly yet professional environment, with a strong emphasis on staff development and career progression. Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, supported by tax seniors and juniors
- Review corporation tax and LLP income tax computations prepared by audit/accounts teams
- Prepare and review: Personal tax returns forms, P11D, ATED returns, Employment-related securities returns, EMI scheme returns
- Handle advisory work related to your portfolio
- Manage workflow and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Provide tax advice and respond to client queries
- Oversee project advisory and company secretarial work (e.g., share reorganisations, EMI schemes)
- Act as the first point of contact for your clients
- Liaise with HMRC and manage enquiries
- Train and supervise junior team members
- Contribute to team management and prepare client invoices
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong experience in both personal and corporate tax
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio and delegate effectively
- Comfortable finalising work for client approval
- Preferably CTA qualified, though ATT/ACA/ACCA or qualified-by-experience candidates will be considered
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel. Experience with Digital Personal Tax, Corporation Tax Advanced, and Company Secretarial software is a plus
