As a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with over 1,000 employees, we are seeking an Applications Analyst to join our highly successful IT team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and strategic development of our business‑critical applications. You will act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, delivering solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the group.
This role requires a deep understanding of CCH software or other relevant financial services software, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of core applications. You will be working across the whole Dains Group, giving you exposure to different service needs that will allow you to support the realisation of our digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Management: Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the CCH applications, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance.
- System Enhancements: Identify opportunities for improvement and lead application upgrades and integrations.
- Maintenance and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CCH applications, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs for end‑users, and create comprehensive documentation for application processes and procedures.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that CCH applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
- Project Delivery: Participate in and lead application related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience working with CCH applications or similar software, including configuration, reporting, and workflow management. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and to develop and implement solutions that optimise business operations.
- Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills: Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex business processes and optimise them effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the confidence to influence and persuade stakeholders. Able to build strong and effective relationships externally with customers and stakeholders, as well as maintain effective working relationships with the IT team and wider Dains teams.
- Organisational and Time Management Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrates a structured and organised approach to work.
