The Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of IT integration projects for newly acquired entities across the Dains Group. The role sits within the IT Projects function and works closely with technical engineers, service desk teams, external suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure integration activity is planned, coordinated, and delivered effectively.
This role is suited to someone early in their project management career who has strong technical awareness and understands how IT systems, users, and dependencies interact during integrations. The focus is on practical delivery support, not theoretical project management.
Key Responsibilities- Integration Project Support
- Support the IT Projects Lead in the planning and delivery of IT integration projects for newly acquired entities
- Assist with coordinating integration activity across key phases, including:
- Day 1 readiness (users, laptops, access)
- Microsoft 365 and core system cutovers
- Application rationalisation and legacy environment shutdown
- Track project milestones, technical dependencies, and delivery activities across multiple workstreams
- Maintain and update core project artefacts, including:
- Project plans and delivery schedules
- RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Actions, decisions, and change logs
- System dependencies
- Sequencing of technical activities
- Cutover constraints and risks
- Develop a working understanding of:
- Microsoft 365 environments (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- User provisioning and identity concepts
- Endpoint provisioning and laptop builds
- Application and data migration concepts
- Coordinate activity across:
- Internal IT teams (Projects, Engineers, Service Desk)
- External vendors and suppliers
- Acquired business stakeholders
- Cutover timelines
- User readiness activities
- Integration progress and impacts
- Support the coordination of hypercare activity following migrations and cutovers
- Help track post‐migration issues, themes, and resolutions
- Support handover of integrated users and systems into BAU support
- Ensure lessons learned are captured to improve future integration
- Essential
- Experience supporting IT or digital projects in a coordination or junior PM capacity
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies and delivery principles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
- Solid technical awareness within an IT environment (not necessarily hands‐on engineering)
- Confident communicator with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders

- Experience supporting IT integration, migration, or transformation projects
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 or enterprise IT environments
- Familiarity with RAID logs, delivery plans, and dependency management
