Our Bromsgrove Tax team are growing and we're looking for a Tax Manager to work closely with our Tax Partner. You will be working across all aspects of advisory and compliance work, assignment delivery and relationship management. This is an exciting role with clear opportunities for progression.
You will be working across multiple sectors and forming trusted relationships with owner-managed businesses, and work in collaboration across the wider Dains firm. Our recent acquisitions create a fast-paced and exciting place to work. Key Responsibilities- Working alongside our Tax Partner on regular advisory projects such as (but not limited to): R&D, Corporate Restructuring, EMI Schemes, Extraction planning including pension contributions.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities, recommending practical solutions.
- To manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring that all Corporate & Personal Client tax returns and associated computations are prepared and submitted to HMRC deadlines.
- Ensure work is delivered in line with firm standards and HMRC requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and communicate impacts to clients.
- Work closely with the Audit and Accounts departments to ensure timely delivery of tax compliance work alongside Audit and Accounts preparation.
- Review work, provide feedback, and support progression and training.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior members of the tax team.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong background in UK tax within professional practice.
- Experience reviewing tax returns and managing client portfolios.
- Solid technical knowledge of Corporation Tax and/or Personal Tax.
- Previous experience working with OMB clients.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client engagements.
- Exposure to advisory and planning work.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
