Dains is seeking a talented Regional Support Engineer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our technical operations across the Midlands region. As a key member of our IT and support team, this individual will focus on providing expert assistance, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring our systems run seamlessly to support both internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities
- You will be the main point of contact for any IT related queries in any of our Midlands offices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and storage solutions.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of IT services, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud‑based systems.
- Provide technical support to employees within the region, both onsite and remotely.
- Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and support IT projects, such as system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations.
- Collaborate with national IT team to deploy new technologies and standards.
- Ensure regional compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Track and manage IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization and lifecycle management.
- Provide regular reports on regional IT performance, incidents, and projects to senior management.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, infrastructure management, or a similar role.
- Proven experience managing regional or multi‑site IT operations.
- Solid understanding of Office 365 and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki and networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN).
